A San Francisco entrepreneur says he has purchased the Stonehouse building in Nevada City, with a goal of opening a restaurant, bar and microbrewery.
Financial terms of the purchase by Jonathan Rowe were not disclosed. Rowe is CEO and founder of The Village events venue and Madrone Studios in San Francisco.
The Stonehouse site dates back to the mid-19th century and was originally constructed as a brewery. Most recently, it has operated as an events venue.
Rowe’s plans for the building at 107 Sacramento St., include a farm-to-table restaurant featuring local, organic ingredients.
