Longtime KXTV executive named president, GM of Sacramento TV station

Risa Omega, a 26-year veteran with Sacramento television station Channel 10 (KXTV), has been named the station’s president and general manager.

McLean, Va.-based station owner TEGNA Inc. said Omega succeeds Maria Barrs, who is retiring after overseeing numerous changes at the station over the past five years.

Omega has been director of sales at ABC-affiliated KXTV since 2010. She started as an account executive before being named local sales manager in 1999.
