On National Pancake Day freebies and discounts at IHOP, Denny’s, Peets
It’s National Pancake Day and that means free flapjacks at IHOP.
From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday anyone with a hankering for delicious carbs smothered in different flavored syrup can go to an International House of Pancake in the Sacramento area and beyond to eat for free.
While there enjoying a short stack of buttermilk pancakes, the proprietors suggest you consider leaving a donation for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals or other designated charities.
The goal this year is to raise $3.5 million for charity. Since the first National Pancake Day in 2006, the restaurant chain has raised about $20 million.
While not recognizing the official day honoring the pancake, Denny’s is offering 20 percent off the entire check on Tuesday with a coupon.
And finally, Peets is offering 50 percent off its beverages this afternoon.
