The average price of unleaded regular gasoline in California fell an average 3 cents a gallon from last month, according to the latest monthly, statewide AAA report released Tuesday.
AAA said the current statewide average of $2.46 was down from $2.49 in the Feb. 9 survey, when Golden State at-the-pump costs were still falling, along with crude oil markets. In the past couple of weeks, gas prices have been rising (up 5 cents, on average, from last week), a trend AAA believes will continue in the short term.
The average price of unleaded regular in the Sacramento area on Tuesday was $2.28 a gallon, up 7 cents from last month.
