Davis biotech firm reports loss, lower revenue
Davis biotech firm Arcadia Biosciences reported a larger loss and lower revenue in its fourth quarter.
In an earnings release late Tuesday, the company said it lost $3.9 million in the quarter, compared with $2 million the year before. Revenue fell to $1.3 million, down from $2.8 million the year before.
For the full year, Arcadia lost $18 million, an improvement over the $18.3 million it lost in 2014. But revenue for the full year fell to $5.4 million from $7 million in 2014.
Arcadia makes agricultural products designed to make crops more drought-tolerant and environmentally friendly.
The company’s shares fell 27 cents to $2.99 in Nasdaq trading Wednesday.
