The Sprouts Farmers Market being constructed on Douglas Boulevard in Roseville will open June 15, the company announced Thursday.

The 28,000-square-foot store at the Rocky Ridge Town Center, 2030 Douglas Blvd., is the second Sprouts store in the Placer County city.

About 100 full- and part-time employees will be hired for the new Roseville store. Prospective department managers, assistant managers, clerks, cashiers and courtesy clerks may find more information at www.sprouts.com/web/guest/careers.

The Rocky Ridge site was occupied by a Borders bookstore until 2012. A year later, Fresh Market took over the location as part of an expansion by the North Carolina-based company into this region. Fresh Market later added stores in Elk Grove and at the former Borders store on Fair Oaks Boulevard in Sacramento.

Fresh Market closed all three of those stores in March 2014.

Sprouts, founded in 2002, bills itself as a promoter of “healthy living for less.” The company has been on a nationwide growth spurt.

Sprouts has stores in Elk Grove, Sacramento, Citrus Heights and on Stanford Ranch Road in Roseville.
