Week sees another double-digit rise in Sacramento-area gas prices
Sacramento-area motorists have been socked with double-digit gas price increases for a third consecutive week.
The average retail price of gas in the area rose about 11.4 cents over the past week to $2.52 a gallon, according to Monday’s report by national gas price tracker GasBuddy.com.
At-the-pump costs have spiked 43.4 cents in the past month, but they’re 63.5 cents lower than the year-ago average.
Nationally, the average rose about 5 cents over the past week to $1.98 a gallon, up 27.4 cents from last month. The national average has been less than $2 a gallon since December.
