Jersey Mike’s Subs opening third area outlet next week in Rocklin

Jersey Mike’s Subs will open a third Sacramento-area restaurant next Wednesday in the Rocklin Commons shopping complex.

The new restaurant is at 5130 Commons Drive, at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Sierra College Boulevard.

The sub sandwich chain, based in Manasquan, N.J., opened its first local restaurant last September at 2912 Fulton Ave. in Sacramento. A second restaurant opened March 9 at 703 E. Bidwell St. in Folsom.

Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s says it now has 1,500 restaurants open or under development nationwide.
