The Niello Co.’s Italian plan for Sacramento is now in place.
The Sacramento-based auto dealership chain recently opened its Niello Alfa Romeo dealership at 2535 Arden Way. It’s the only Alfa Romeo store in the area, and it’s the first time in about 40 years that the 106-year-old Italian automaker’s brand is being offered at a certified Alfa store in Sacramento.
The Alfa Romeo dealership is at the former site of Turner Volvo, which Niello acquired in November 2014.
Niello Alfa Romeo’s primary offering is the Alfa Romeo 4C, offered as a $56,000 coupe and a $66,000 convertible.

Niello’s Maserati operations move over from Fulton Avenue to join the Alfa store at Arden Way. Niello said the facility on Arden Way also will handle service on Fiat autos.
Niello operates a stand-alone Fiat sales dealership at 2030 Fulton Ave., in Sacramento.
With the Alfa store now open, Niello has three venerable Italian auto brands locked up in the area. Fiat dates back to 1899, the dawn of the automotive age, and Maserati’s roots go back to 1914.
The Niello Co. also oversees a dozen other dealerships, most of them in the Sacramento area. Those stores sell mostly high-end foreign models, including Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, Land Rover, BMW, Mini, Jaguar and Volvo.
The company has an Infiniti dealership in Concord.
“We’re pretty satisfied with what we have right now, a good group of cars that represent the European segment, and represent it strongly. Alfa Romeo has a pretty long history in the U.S. so we’re very pleased to have it,” Rick Niello, company president, said Friday.
Niello noted that the Alfa Romeo store will ramp up inventory over time.
The primary offering right now is the Alfa Romeo 4C, a sleek sports car that is offered in the 2016 model years as a $56,000 coupe and a $66,000 convertible.
Started in 1921, The Niello Co. employs about 700 in the Sacramento region.
