Flat labor demand reflected in online job ads posted in Sacramento, statewide
Generally flat labor demand nationwide was reflected in job vacancies advertised online in Sacramento and statewide last month.
The Conference Board, the New York-based business research group, said 32,800 ads were posted in Sacramento in April, up 1.8 percent from 32,200 in March but a nearly 4.5 percent gain from 31,400 in April 2015.
Statewide, there were 616,800 ads posted in April, up just 0.3 percent from 615,000 in March and down 0.7 percent from 621,200 in April last year.
Nationally, online advertised job vacancies rose a slight 39,600 to 5.17 million between March and April.
