Public can bring California tax concerns to Tuesday BOE hearings

California’s Board of Equalization will host its annual Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights hearings Tuesday in Sacramento.

The public hearings start at 1:30 p.m. in the first-floor boardroom at BOE’s headquarters at 450 N St.

Back-to-back hearings will be held, the first to receive public input on business taxes (sales and use taxes, environmental fees, fuel taxes and excise taxes), and the second focusing on property taxes.

Those interested in attending are asked to contact the BOE Taxpayers’ Rights Advocate Office at 888-324-2798 or boe.ca.gov/info/emailtra.htm.
