El Dorado Hills franchisees Albert and Shadia Romo will open the first Sacramento-area MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes restaurant in Rocklin on Monday.

The restaurant is in the Rocklin Commons shopping complex at Interstate 80 and Sierra College Boulevard.

It’s the first of seven MOOYAH sites the franchisees plan to open in the region in the next few years through Romo Restaurant Group LLC.

Texas-based MOOYAH is fairly new to California, with restaurants in Morgan Hill and Walnut Creek. Others are scheduled to open soon in Irvine and Los Gatos.

Albert Romo said the Rocklin restaurant will offer options to a wide variety of food preferences, feature customize-your-own burgers and have on-site entertainment for children.
