Auburn’s Community 1st Bank opens Sacramento branch

Auburn’s Community 1st Bank on Monday opened a new full-service branch office near Cal Expo in Sacramento.

Community 1st, which also has banking offices in Auburn and Roseville, opened its Sacramento branch at 1601 Response Road, Suite 190.

The new office incorporates Community 1st’s loan office that was established several years ago on nearby on River Park Drive.

“Community 1st Bank has established a sizable client base in Sacramento thanks to the popularity of our loan office,” James Kim, president and CEO, said in a statement.“We want to offer our Sacramento clients expanded services and now we have the capability of doing that with this new office.”

In this year’s first quarter, the bank reported net income of $245,000, or 4 cents a share, compared with a profit of $290,000, or 4 cents a share, in the opening quarter of 2015. Net income for all of 2015 totaled $1.2 million, down from $1.5 million in 2014.

The banking company started operations in February 2006.
