Rob Chemaly, a veteran health/fitness industry veteran with previous experience in California, has been named general manager of a new 307,000-square-foot fitness megacenter scheduled to open this summer in Roseville.
Chemaly, who previously has worked at fitness centers in San Diego and Oklahoma over his 20 years in the industry, will oversee a staff of nearly 350 at the Life Time Athletic center at 1435 E. Roseville Parkway.
The center is being built by Life Time Fitness Inc., a Minnesota-based operator of 113 fitness megacenters in the United States and Canada
The site will be the company’s first in Northern California. It will include a tennis complex with 10 hard-surface and four clay outdoor courts, an indoor/outdoor aquatics center, group exercise programs and studios, an outdoor bistro with beer and wine service, an extensive workout area with more than 400 weight and cardio exercise equipment, two full-size indoor basketball courts, two multi-service spas and a cafe.
