Luxury home sales in the Sacramento area were up 18.4 percent in last year’s fourth quarter, compared with the final quarter of 2013, according to the regional office of Coldwell Banker residential brokerage.
Coldwell said there were 161 home sales in the fourth quarter of more than $750,000 in the region comprising Sacramento, El Dorado and Placer counties.
That’s up from 136 transactions in the same period of 2013. Last year’s fourth-quarter sales were down from 219 in the third quarter, but Coldwell attributed that to an expected seasonal decline.
Figures are based on Multiple Listing Service data of all homes in the three-county region.
