New park opens at McKinley Village in East Sacramento
Artist Marc Foster of East Sacramento polishes his steel sculpture “La Feuille,” or “The Leaf,” before the dedication of the Alan and Helen Post Park in the new McKinley Village neighborhood in East Sacramento on Monday. City officials, developers and community members gathered for the park’s unveiling, including, from left, developer Phil Angelides, Sacramento City Council members Jeff Harris and Steve Hansen, Kevin Carson of The New Home Company and David Post, son of Sacramento artists Alan and Helen Post, for whom the park is named. The new subdivision along the Capital City Freeway is under construction.
