It’s taken a decade, but this apartment complex is move-in ready

Residents have started moving into The Landing at College Square, a 270-unit luxury apartment community near Cosumnes River College.

The $50 million project at 7640 W. Stockton Blvd. was developed by Roseville-based USA Properties Fund Inc.

USA Properties and its partners planned the project in 2006 and completed its first phase – a 102-unit affordable complex called Copperstone I – in 2009. But plans for the market-rate phase were put off amid the recession. Construction resumed in July last year.

The 12-building community includes numerous high-end amenities, including a dog-washing station.

Developers have touted the community’s relative affordability, compared with downtown Sacramento dwellings, and proximity to the city’s core.

Rents range from $1,343 for a one-bedroom apartment to $1,898 for a three-bedroom unit.
