Peek inside this $26.5 million home that goes all out with Star Wars museum in basement
An 18,200-square-foot mansion for sale in Los Angeles comes with everything you’d want in a home—six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, indoor/outdoor pool, tennis court, fitness studio, 18-seat theater and a wine cellar—and then throws in a 5,000-square-foot Star Wars-themed basement.
The newly listed Hidden Hills home is on the market for $26.5 million. Listing agents are Arvin Haddad, Emil Hartoonian and Mauricio Umansky of The Agency.
The museum-like basement contains “literally hundreds of one-of-a-kind commissions by numerous artists and prop-makers, including replicas of various Star Wars space vehicles, more than 40 life-size figures and a number of cartoonish tableaus from the movies,” the Wall Street Journal wrote.
The “location offers interstellar-like privacy while still providing access to earthly amenities,” according to the listing on realtor.com.
Other home features include a hidden safe room and a 750-gallon aquarium.
The property sits on three acres. Outside, there’s the pool and spa with a grotto, a waterfall and water slide and a stargazing observatory with a telescope. A fruit tree orchard, grapevines and an organic herb garden offer a touch of nature.
The seller is a “semi-retired investor,” according to the Wall Street Journal.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the basement’s designer was required to watch the movie series in preparation for the project.
