Anthony Hopkins selling Malibu mansion perched on cliff. See the $11.5 million home
The handsome Malibu home owned by actor Anthony Hopkins that is perched on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean has hit the market for $11.5 million.
The mansion, which sits on about an acre of land between Zuma Beach and Point Dume, was built in the 1950s. The five bedroom, five bath house spans over nearly 4,000 square feet.
There is an art room in a cabana by the pool. The sauna in the master bathroom features a wall of glass offering stunning beach views.
Santiago Arana of The Agency is the listing agent.
Variety reported that Hopkins, who was nominated for an Oscar this year for his role in “The Two Popes,” has owned the property since 2001. He purchased the estate for around $3.8 million, Variety said.
While the deadly Woolsey fire last year destroyed the home of Hopkins’ next-door-neighbor, the Welsh actor’s beach house was left standing. Mudslides have eroded some of the cliff where the home stands, the Wall Street Journal and Daily Mail reported.
