See the L.A. home actress Lori Loughlin sold to Tinder co-founder for $18.75 million
Embattled television actress Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli have sold their Bel Air home for $18.75 million to Justin Mateen, co-founder of Tinder.
The massive home at 121 Udine Way, Los Angeles, CA is 9,000 square feet and features six bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Sitting behind gates on a cul-de-sac, the Mediterranean villa, built in 1929, looks out at the rolling green fairways of Bel-Air Country Club.
The selling price is significantly lower than the $35 million the couple originally sought, according to the listing at realtor.com. The sale may represent a net loss for Loughlin and Giannulli, according to the Los Angeles Times. Loughlin, who starred in “Full House,” and Giannulli paid $14 million for the estate five years ago but have done significant upgrades to the property, according to several media reports.
The Agency’s Arvin Haddad, star of CNBC’s “Listing Impossible,” held the listing. Rodeo Realty’s Josh Flagg of “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” represented Mateen.
The house was built by the late Roland Coate, who designed homes for film producer David O. Selznick and actors Robert Taylor and Barbara Stanwyck, the Times reported.
The house is “flooded with natural light and beautifully proportioned open spaces,” according to the listing, including a “stunning two-story entry with sweeping staircase, incredible walls for art.”
The property features a media room, paneled library, oversized formal dining room and a gourmet eat-in kitchen with commercial appliances. There’s a luxurious master suite with a sitting room and separate his and her bathrooms and closets. The house boasts four more bedroom suites, a gym, staff room, circular motor court and five-car garage.
Outside, a pool, spa and other outdoor areas present opportunities for large-scale entertaining.
Loughlin and Giannulli are awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in May to charges connected to the nationwide college admissions scandal.
Mateen co-founded Tinder in 2012. The mansion adds to his extensive real estate portfolio that includes a $15 million estate nearby in Holmby Hills, according to House Beautiful.
