Check out gorgeous Lake Tahoe waterfront estate listed for $44 million

A waterfront Lake Tahoe estate has hit the market for $44 million, making it one of the most expensive listings in the area.

The main house on the property spans 12,225 square feet and has seven bedrooms and seven full baths. There’s a 2,000-bottle wine cellar, a home theater with two rows of seating and a bar, an executive office with panoramic lake views and a den with a full-size bar. A seven-car garage will house your auto fleet.

The 1,500-square-foot master suite includes a private gym. The gourmet chef’s kitchen has an attached caterer’s industrial kitchen. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning lake views.

The property at 2500 W. Lake Boulevard sits on over three lakefront acres in Homewood, with 175 feet of sandy beach, its own private deep-water, marina-style pier, boat and jet ski lifts and a pair of boat slips.

An in-floor hydronic heating system extends through the gated driveway and out to the lakefront slate patio.

“A crown jewel, this west shore lakefront estate is a masterpiece in luxury,” according to the official listing.

The estate, built in 2001 and extensively remodeled in 2013, was listed two days ago. Bill Dietz of Tahoe Luxury Properties is the listing agent. A virtual tour can be found here.

“The elegance in the attention to detail highlights the thought in design,” the listing reads. “From the inlaid mosaic design at the entrance alongside etched windows, to the columns and beam work, the care in the build is exceptional. The lighting fixtures are awe-inspiring and material choices throughout the home are stately yet timeless.”

The estate sits near a $59 million compound owned by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The sellers are Jeanne and Ray Conrad, a retired Florida couple who previously owned a background checking company, WSJ reported. They bought the Tahoe estate for $17.25 million in 2012, the newspaper reported, but are selling because they don’t spend much time there.
