This incredible Thai-inspired compound owned by Pierce Brosnan is yours for $100 million

Actor Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely Brosnan are selling their custom-built Thai-style compound that sits on Malibu’s famed Broad Beach for $100 million.

The rare one-acre property comes with 117 feet of beachfront, and is made for resort-style living. Dubbed “Orchid House,” it’s the first time the home, designed by architects Ralph & Ross Anderson, has been on the market.

“From the dramatic twin carved teak entry gates to the panoramic coastline and ocean views, the setting is lush with mature palms, hibiscus, and tropical flowers,” according to the official listing. “This retreat is surrounded by wrap-around lanais and courtyards that invite yoga at dawn, relaxing afternoons, sunset cocktails, and effortless entertaining beneath the stars.”

The main residence, located at 31118 Broad Beach Road, has five bedrooms and 14 baths spanning roughly 12,500 square feet, with walls of glass and foldaway doors leading seamlessly from indoors to out. The interior is adorned with handcrafted woodwork, wide-plank teak floors and exotic scissor-truss ceilings.

Keely Brosnan told the Wall Street Journal that the couple was inspired to build the house after a trip to Thailand, where “we fell in love with the architecture.”

At the heart of the main house is a luxurious ocean-view great room and dining area with an oversized fireplace and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open onto an enormous beachfront deck. The spacious gourmet kitchen also features ocean views.

The upper-level master bedroom has two large sitting area, two fireplaces, teak cabinetry and a wall of glass opening onto another expansive private deck with dramatic ocean and mountain views. Sharing the upper level is an office/library/art studio and a guest bedroom with a private entry that offers a floor-to-ceiling onyx fireplace, full bathroom and a wide balcony overlooking the courtyard garden.

The travertine-floored west wing features a state-of-the-art theater and a bar. On the east wing is a mirrored gym and large bonus/game room that is currently being used as a music room/recording studio.

A two-story guest/pool house comes with a bar and sitting area with fireplace. The upper-level guest suite has ocean views, a scissor-truss ceiling, oversized fireplace, full bath, sliding doors, skylights and two decks.

The serene and lushly landscaped grounds center around an oversized saltwater pool. There’s an expansive private sandy area with path leading to the public beach.

Chris Cortazzo of Compass holds the listing.

The $100 million price tag makes the estate the eighth-priciest home on the market in Los Angeles County, according to the Los Angeles Times. Records show Irish-American actor configured the compound in 2000, buying one lot for $5.1 million and another for $2.25 million, the Times reported.

Brosnan, 67, starred in four James Bond films from 1995 to 2002.
