‘Dallas’ star Linda Gray talks about the rural California home she’s selling for $3M
Actress Linda Gray, who starred as Sue Ellen Ewing in ‘Dallas,’ is selling her rural California home designed by late modernist architect A. Quincy Jones for $2.995 million.
The three-bedroom estate sits behind a private gated estate in Santa Clarita. The 4,800-square-foot home built in 1973 features a Josh Schweitzer-designed cook’s kitchen, stables for four horses with a tack room and barn, a tennis court, large swimming pool with a spa, organic gardens, a koi pond, chicken coop and large lawn.
Gray, 81, talks about favorite features of her home of 50 years in a promotional video.
“I adored it here, and I still do,” Gray said. “It’s an oasis.”
The park-like grounds span nearly three acres. Towering, centuries-old trees grow on the compound that’s only a half an hour from Los Angeles.
“This equestrian-zoned property is the perfect rural getaway, while remaining close and connected to the urban experience/lifestyle,” according to the listing.
The listing agents are Billy Rose, Natasha Sizlo and Andrea Korchek of The Agency.
Jones, who designed the home, is well known for his work on the Walter Annenberg estate “Sunnylands” in Rancho Mirage, California.
Gray appeared on the popular television drama series “Dallas,” as the wife of J.R. Ewing, from 1978 to 1991.
