South Placer County real estate: See how much home values have gone up in every suburb
Placer County, one of the fastest growing counties in California since the pandemic struck, is a real estate hotbed.
The median home price has increased significantly in every suburb in the southern part of the county. Two communities now have a median price above $1 million.
The median home price in Placer County stood at $715,000 in April, an increase of 15% over last year, according to new data from Sacramento region real estate analyst Ryan Lundquist. The number of homes for sale is also on the rise and homes are spending a little more time on the market, a sign that buyers are earning some leverage in the super competitive landscape.
Real estate is still out of reach for many in Placer County. Data from the California Association Realtors show that just 34% of families in Placer could afford the median-priced home during the first three months of 2022.
The graphic below charts the median home price in every suburb in south Placer County, including Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Loomis and Granite Bay. The data is from Redfin and is tracked for every month going back to January 2020.
