After Truckee, the most expensive community in Nevada County is Placer County foothills, where the median price per square foot in the last week was $334.

The best deal can be found in Grass Valley/Nevada City, where the median price per square foot of a home sold is $304.

In the past week, a 1,448-square-foot home on The Strand in Truckee sold for $850,000.
