See it: Trevor Noah of ‘The Daily Show’ lists $12.95 million penthouse in New York

Trevor Noah, who is stepping down as host of “The Daily Show,” has put his impeccable $12.95 million New York City penthouse with sprawling views of the city up for sale, according to Compass real estate firm.

Penthouse A at Stella Tower, 425 W. 50th St., offers “a rare opportunity to own a private oasis in New York City’s heart,” according to Compass.

Noah, host of Comedy Central’s late-night show of political satire, said he is leaving the job after seven years, according to the Wall Street Journal. A Compass spokesman declined to comment on why Noah is selling the three-bedroom, four-bathroom penthouse.

There are no adjacent buildings of the same height as Noah’s duplex, located on the 17th and 18th floors, so the residence offers “seclusion and grandeur rarely found in Manhattan real estate,” according to Compass.

Originally designed for the New York Telephone Company, Stella Tower was built in 1927 by Art Deco architect Ralph Walker and was named after the architect’s wife. The structure was converted to luxury residences in 2014, Compass said.

The Hell’s Kitchen residence, with grand living spaces, soaring ceilings, a 1,000-square-foot terrace and a plunge pool, underwent a multi-year renovation.

“It is undoubtedly the premier residence in the building,” the firm said in a news release.

A floating staircase leads from the main entry to the upper floor, where 15-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows bring in ample sunlight. The home spotlights custom details from French Oak flooring to cast metal archways between rooms. Double French doors open out to a landscaped terrace, where the plunge pool and a teak pergola await, with views.

The primary suite is full of luxury features, including a private foyer, hand-rubbed cortina leather wall and dual dressing rooms. The primary bathroom has windows overlooking the city and Hudson River.

The listing agent, Nick Gavin of Compass, is familiar with celebrity listings. He represented the biggest downtown sale in New York City in 2021, selling Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton’s NYC pad for $49.5 million, according to Forbes.

The 51-unit Stella Tower sits in the heart of New York City, just a short distance from some of its iconic destinations, such as Lincoln Center, the Theater District, Central Park and Hudson Yards.

The duplex was purchased for $10 million in 2017, according to Compass spokesperson Devin Daly Huerta.
