Songwriter lists phenomenal former CA ocean getaway of Steve McQueen for $17M. See it
The former Malibu, California, home of actor Steve McQueen — a 4,335-square-foot showstopper of a beachfront property with unobstructed views from Broad Beach to Point Dume — just hit the market for nearly $17 million.
“Once owned by Steve McQueen, this astutely renovated architectural home is perched on a bluff behind gates in the coveted Victoria Point community and harmoniously connects the outdoors and indoors,” listing agent Elizabeth Donovan, with the Pacific Palisades office of Coldwell Banker Realty, said in a statement to the Sacramento Bee.
The residence has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Disappearing glass walls open the dining room and living room up to an expansive deck above the Pacific Ocean.
The main level is where the bright kitchen with a wine-rack wall can be found. On the second level, a sprawling primary suite features an accent wood-paneled wall, a fireplace and spa-like bathroom with a soaking tub, glass-enclosed shower and dual sinks and more ocean views.

McQueen and actress Ali MacGraw, his second wife, moved to the property in the 1970s for privacy, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The sellers, according to Property Shark, are songwriter Ammar Malik and his wife Chyna Bardarson. Malik co-wrote the major hit song “Moves like Jagger” by Maroon 5. The couple paid $8.35 million for the property in September 2020, according to the property data site.
McQueen was an ultra-cool actor of the 1960s who starred in the films “The Great Escape” and “Papillon.”
