After Truckee, the most expensive community in Nevada County is Placer County foothills, where the median price per square foot in the last two weeks was $332.

The best deal can be found in Grass Valley/Nevada City, where the median price per square foot of a home sold is $270.

In the last two weeks, a 1,559-square-foot home on Hillside Drive in Truckee sold for $985,000.
