Home values in the Sacramento region have been falling in recent months. But a new map with data from Zillow shows values are still up in many corners of the region compared to last year.

The interactive map below shows how much the median home value has changed in nearly every ZIP code in the Sacramento region and the Lake Tahoe basin.

Values are available for all of the region’s largest communities, including Davis, Elk Grove, the El Dorado County foothills and Roseville. It shows that price increases have been modest in many of the south Placer County suburbs, the foothills and in some neighborhoods of Sacramento.

Sacramento real estate appraiser and market analyst Ryan Lundquist reported this week that median prices in the four-county Sacramento region are down 1.6% since last year, with a November 2022 median of $550,000. However, the drop since earlier this year has been dramatic: the median price in the region has fallen 12% since a May peak of $625,000, according to Lundquist’s data.

The map below updates each month as new data becomes available.
