The Sacramento region’s rental market is still in a slumber.

The typical rent paid in many parts of the region has remained stable or gone down over the past year, according to new data from RentHub.

Rents are down in parts of Elk Grove, Davis, Folsom and Roseville. Woodland, Auburn and neighborhoods near Sacramento’s urban core have seen rent growth.

The slowdown in rent increases is likely a welcome relief for those who have held out on buying a home. Median home prices in the region have begun to tick up again, but monthly payments have never been higher due to spiking mortgage rates.

The interactive map below shows how much median rents have changed in most ZIP codes in the region. The map will automatically update each month as fresh data become available.
