After Truckee, the most expensive community in Nevada County is Placer County foothills, where the median price per square foot in June was $328.

The best deal can be found in Grass Valley/Nevada City, where the median price per square foot of a home sold is $292.

In June, a 2,260-square-foot home on The Strand in Truckee sold for $1,302,500.
