Truckee-area home sales: Real estate prices in Truckee the week of Aug. 6

The median price per square foot for a home in Truckee increased in the past week to $627, which is the highest in the county. That’s $306 more than the Nevada County median. Prior to this, the median price per square foot of a home sold in Truckee was $600.

After Truckee, the most expensive community in Nevada County is Placer County foothills, where the median price per square foot in the past week was $353.

The best deal can be found in Grass Valley/Nevada City, where the median price per square foot of a home sold is $291.

In the past week, a 1,754-square-foot home on Alder Creek Road in Truckee sold for $1,100,000.

The figures in this text are based on sales registered during the week of Aug. 7.
