Truckee-area home sales: Real estate prices in Truckee the week of Sep. 24

The median price per square foot for a home in Truckee decreased in the past week to $588, which is the highest in the county. That’s $138 more than the Nevada County median. Prior to this, the median price per square foot of a home sold in Truckee was $612.

After Truckee, the most expensive community in Nevada County is Placer County foothills, where the median price per square foot in the past week was $311.

The best deal can be found in Grass Valley/Nevada City, where the median price per square foot of a home sold is $303.

In the past week, a 1,442-square-foot home on Silverfir Drive in Truckee sold for $848,000.
