See Lake Tahoe mansion with 150 feet of waterfront beach that just sold for $47.5 million
A Lake Tahoe mansion — which comes with a large section of water frontage and nearly every other amenity one might seek in a home — has sold for $47.5 million, according to several news sources.
Built in 2006, the elegant residence sits on 1.2 acres with 150-feet of lake frontage. The four-bedroom, six-bath estate spans 11,843 square feet with a 35-foot wood-beamed ceiling and eight chandeliers in the great room, a hand-crafted water feature in the entry way and views of the lake from nearly every room.
The home also features a 1,200-bottle wine cellar, seven-car garage with cove lighting and no interior columns and a heated driveway. There’s a professionally equipped kitchen, home theater with eight reclining red leather seats and exercise room. Besides the Cobalt boat, the sellers are throwing in a grand piano as part of the deal.
The gorgeous grounds are level, providing easy entertainment opportunities.
“Enjoy a generous backyard that is bisected by a year-round creek with perennial gardens and stately evergreens framing Lake Tahoe in the back drop,” according to the property listing.
The property was originally listed in June for $50 million. The purchase of the home closed Aug. 20, according to realtor.com.
The seller is cybercurrency tycoon Jeffrey Berns, founder and CEO of Blockchains, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Clif Chase of Chase International Luxury Real Estate represented the listing. The name of the buyer has not been disclosed.
