Distressed homeowners can get mortgage advice at Sacramento event

The Massachusetts-based Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America on Friday kicks off its five-day “American Dream” program, offering mortgage relief to distressed homeowners, at the Sacramento Convention Center.

The event will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Tuesday at 1400 J St.

NACA said representatives will assist qualified attendees with obtaining home loans or loan modifications, and offer assistance to those who have lost homes to foreclosure.

There is no charge to attend. To register, see naca.com, or call 801-606-6222. Walk-ins are welcome and all are encouraged to bring financial and other home ownership documents.
