A man was killed and two women were hurt after a man opened fire in a California smoke shop, police said.

A man shot three people in a Bellflower smoke shop on Dec. 7, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Officials found a man in his early 30s shot in the upper chest when they arrived at the shop, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two women had gunshot wounds on their legs and were taken to a hospital, police reported. They were both in critical but stable condition.

Police have not determined a motive for the shooting, and they are searching for the shooter.

Bellflower is about 20 miles south of Los Angeles.
