Watch burly bear squeeze out of tiny crawl space in South Lake Tahoe

Despite his burly frame, a large bear squeezed himself though the crawl space of a building in South Lake Tahoe, California, video shows.

Trail camera video captured during the night on December 5, 2021, shows the bear performing the escape trick, before returning into the wild.

Toogee Sielsch, a wildlife photographer based in the area, set up the recording equipment.

“Some folks have asked just how B33 gets his 500lb body in or out of that 14”x14” crawlspace entrance,” Sielsch wrote on Instagram. “Well, it takes two videos for him to get out, and at least three videos (not shown) to get back in.”

Sielsch regularly sets up trail cameras to film the antics of the local bear population and other native wildlife.
