Travelers wait in long lines at LAX terminal
Travelers stood in long lines to check in at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Tuesday, January 4, as a combination of flight cancellations and technical issues caused extensive delays.
John Spiher said this video showed a line of Delta travelers outside Terminal 2 on Tuesday.
According to local media LAX passengers were rerouted from Terminal 3, which is closed for renovations. Delta Airlines also reported a luggage conveyor belt issue that was causing additional delays.
“Lines so bad there’s a news crew here,” Spiher wrote on Twitter, estimating the line to be over two hours long. “Does not seem likely I’ll be making my flight.”
Spiher told Storyful that he did eventually missed his flight and had to rebook.
