Firefighters race to save woman wedged 20 feet down trash chute, California rescuers say
Firefighters rescued a woman stuck 20 feet down a concrete trash chute in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles, officials said.
Someone called 911 at 8:12 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, to report the woman was trapped in the trash chute of a four-story apartment building, Los Angeles firefighters reported.
An hour later, rescuers on the roof lowered the woman to the ground using a rope system, firefighters reported.
The 40-year-old had no signs of injury, KABC reported.
It’s unclear how she ended up in the trash chute, firefighters said.
