A man was stabbed after an argument over a real estate dispute in California, according to police.

The 50-year-old victim had returned home from a walk with his girlfriend in San Diego’s Castle neighborhood on Wednesday, May 25, the San Diego Police Department said in a release. The couple discovered three men inside the house.

Shortly after, a fight about a home sale began, police said. The fight continued outside onto the porch where the victim was stabbed three times. The suspects then fled.

Officers responded just after 11 p.m., the release said. The victim was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to police. The girlfriend was not injured.

Detectives are still investigating and ask for anyone with information to call police at 619-516-3000 or share tips anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
