Man grabbed women sexually while riding past them on e-bike, California police say
The Monterey Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person who sexually assaulted two women.
On Sept. 15, the Monterey Police Department responded to a report of sexually battery in the area of Second and Camino Aguajito, according to the police department’s news release.
Around 7 a.m., a woman was walking when a man riding an electric bicycle rode up behind her and grabbed her buttocks, officials said. After making inappropriate comments toward her, he fled.
Officials describe the suspect as a while adult man with blue eyes who was wearing a blue hoodie, face mask and jeans.
Police were dispatched to another incident on Sept. 20 around 6 a.m. when a woman was jogging a trail by the area of Custom House Plaza when a male riding an e-bike passed her and slapped her buttocks, officials said.
He fled north on the trail toward Coast Guard Pier, according to the news release. He was wearing dark clothes.
