See $22M California mansion for sale — big ‘GOT’ iron throne just one amazing feature
A magnificent, 15,000-square-foot California mansion for sale for $22 million would stand out even if it didn’t have an enormous great room with a lavish stone fireplace, 35-foot-high ceilings, high arched windows and a life-sized replica of the iron throne from the HBO hit TV series “Game of Thrones.”
“Through private double guard gates of The Beverly Ridge Estates, welcome to this unique, custom home that was carefully crafted to express Italian Romanticism, while offering all the modern conveniences of 21st Century living,” the listing for the seven-bedroom, 9-bathroom estate at 9 Beverly Ridge Terrace states.
The home, set on one of the largest lots in the Beverly Hills neighborhood at 1.7 acres, showcases on a massive scale the work of interior designer and real estate investor Robert Rivani, according to Douglas Elliman real estate firm, which holds the listing.
There’s an ornate bar room that has a Harry Potter-type apothecary cabinet, an entertainment space with walls and ceiling of faux trees and greenery and a manicured backyard reportedly modeled after “Alice in Wonderland” with large outdoor chess set patterns, fountains and statuary — not to mention a large chef’s kitchen with an oversized center island, gorgeous pool, sport court and an expansive subterranean garage.
Josh Altman and Sam Collins of Douglas Elliman are the listing agents.
Altman described the castle-like property, built in 2009, to Mansion Global as “regal, luxury and fun.”
The home’s owner is listed as a California LLC called Odins Castle in care of Robert Rivani, according to Property Shark records. It was purchased in December 2019 for $13.76 million.
The mansion has been on the market for less than a week.
The home was previously owned by businessman David Gebbia, whose construction firm built it, Mansion global reported in October. Gebbia is the ex-husband of Carlton Gebbia of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
