A car plunged 100 feet off a Los Angeles cliff, coming to rest against a tree, California firefighters reported.

The woman suffered “at least” serious injuries in the crash at 5:21 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, on Mulholland Drive, the Los Angeles Fire Department said in a news release.

Her car was found resting against a tree and was not stable, firefighters said.

The 35-year-old woman was found outside the car, KABC reported.

A fire helicopter hoisted the woman from the wreck and took her to a hospital, KTTV reported.

Firefighters shut down Mulholland Drive from Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Coldwater Canyon Avenue during the rescue, the release said.
