Need tax help? These Northern California IRS offices will take walk-ins this weekend
The Internal Revenue Service will open five of its Northern California Taxpayer Assistance Centers this weekend for face-to-face tax help, no appointment needed.
Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, IRS employees will assist walk-in clients with several tax-related issues except for tax return preparation and cash payments, according to the IRS. To get the most out of your visit, be sure to get to the office early with the correct documents.
Free personal tax help at assistance centers is intended for individuals who cannot get their questions answered online or by phone.
A language interpreter will be available for over-the-phone translation. Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients who need sign language interpreter services will be scheduled for a future appointment or they can call 800-829-4059 to make an appointment themselves.
The next walk-in sessions will be on Saturday, April 8 and Saturday, May 13.
