No storms, no problem: See good times as Lake Tahoe ski resorts open for 2023-24 season
Winter is taking its time, but Heavenly Mountain and Palisades Tahoe ski resorts near Lake Tahoe, California, kicked off the 2023-2024 season Wednesday despite the absence of recent mega-storms.
The resorts are forecasting consistently cold temperatures, favorable conditions for snowmaking.
