While enjoying a bag of hot kettle corn, look up in the sky for the debut of the Lights in the Sky Spectacular drone show, showing on Friday-Sunday, July 5-7 at 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday shows will have a patriotic theme and Sunday’s show will have a multicultural theme.

Fair spokesperson and marketing manager Jose Pina says the show can be visible within 3 miles of the fair and there are many locations in the fairgrounds to watch from.

Drone shows are new to this area and gaining popularity on social media for their dazzling choreographed light formations set to music. Just this 4th of July, El Rematito Flea Market hosted the South Modesto Businesses United Fourth of July Drone Show. With hundreds in attendance, this was the first known drone show in the region.
