Flood of weed-eating goats pours down a dry hillside, California video shows

A herd of rambunctious goats pours down a Berkeley hillside and crosses a road, a California video shows.

The video, posted Thursday, July 11, to YouTube, shows goats crossing Cyclotron Road at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory that day.

Guided by shepherds and dogs, the flood of goats pours down a dry hillside before heading across the road, the video posted by the lab shows.

Goats are often deployed to remove dry vegetation to reduce summer fire risks in California.

Established in 1931, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and administered by the University of California system.

Berkeley is about a 15-mile drive northeast of San Francisco.
