Changes are coming to a classic Disneyland ride to remove stereotypes and caricatures of indigenous people, park officials told news outlets.

Peter Pan’s Flight, which dates back to the park’s opening day in 1955, will be updated in line with similar changes to the Walt Disney World version of the ride, KTLA reported.

A revised scene shows Princess Tiger Lily and her grandmother performing a ceremonial dance around a fire while other Neverland Tribe members play a drum, Fox Business said.

The change also removes a chief in a feathered headdress in an earlier version of the scene, Deadline said.

Officials told KTLA similar changes are planned at Disneyland, but no timeline has been announced for the revisions.

In the Fantasyland attraction, riders soar over London in a flying ship before visiting the Lost Boys, Captain Hook and Tiger Lily in Neverland.

Disneyland recently refurbished part of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride to remove scenes of captive women being auctioned and soon will reopen the former Splash Mountain as the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
