Nature offers us California Henge again. See San Francisco street, bridge aglow

Professional and amateur photographers alike gathered Monday to capture a solar event dubbed California Henge in San Francisco, California.

A mesmerizing video of the twice-a-year occurence shows the spectacle in timelapse speed.

The last time California Henge, when the sun aligns perfect with the street grid, happened in April

Along California Street at sunrise, the San Francisco skyline and Bay Bridge glowed for social media moments.

“This phenomenon is highly location specific of California Street,” Rick Baldridge, a local amateur astronomer who also works as a telescope operator at UC’s Lick Observatory on Mount Hamilton, told Fox-KTVU.
