New video shows victim’s perspective of U.S. Navy parachutist diving, slamming into family

A new video has been released showing the perspective of the mother and teen daughter hit by a U.S. Navy Parachutist during San Francisco Fleet Week.

The video (above) was shared by Fox KTVU news station via VideoElephant. The family’s attorney, Tanya Gomerman, talked about their injuries to KTVU, too.

The video shows the parachutist coming down quickly and smashing into Mia De Guzman, 17, and her mother, Jhoanna.

On Oct. 13, one of six parachutists from the U.S. Navy Leap Frogs Parachute Team hit the mom and teenager at Marina Green. While the pair suffered injuries, the parachutist was unhurt.

The family has not filed a lawsuit yet in the crash, but they want the Navy to pay for medical costs, which are mounting, Gomerman said.
